Snow Policy
Here is a brief summary of our Sunday Snow Policy.
If it is snowing on Sunday Morning Pastor Schappert, in consultation with the Elders, will make a decision regarding the services by about 7:00 AM. The first option is to cancel the 8:15 service and the 9:30 service and to hold a 'Entire Family' service at 10:45. If the snow appears to be severe then all 3 services will be cancelled. If it is very obvious on Saturday night that the storm will be extensive then a decision will be made at that time.
You may call the church where the answering machine will have the necessary information. Also, I will send out an e-mail to you as soon as any decision is made. We will also try to contact WDAC and ask them to put our church on the list of cancellations. This all assumes that the phone lines are still operative.
Some have ask why we would ever close the church doors, let those who can come to worship. But, if many Sunday School teachers can't get here while we have an influx of children we soon run into a near chaos situation. Thus, if the roads are slightly passable we can and will have the 'Entire Family' service at 10:45.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT SNOW POLICY.
If it is snowing on a Wednesday and the Public Schools have been closed at all then our Wed. evening program is cancelled. If the snow comes after school is over then Pastor Rohrer will make a decision regarding the Wed. evening programs. Again, we will try to send out an e-mail notifying you of any change and the church answering machine will record the necessary information.
